NTR College of Veterinary Science, Gannavaram

The NTR College of Veterinary Science was established in the year 1997-98 vide G. O. Ms. No. 33 Agri & Co-op (Agri.III) Department, dated 03-03-1998 at Gannavaram, Krishna Dt. and the college started functioning from 18-03-1998 offering BVSc & AH degree. Though initially established by Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University, presently it is a constituent college of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati since the inception of the university i.e. 01-04-2006. The college includes facilities and faculty strength as per the standards of Veterinary Council of India.

Dr Yerradoddi Ramana Reddy

Dr Yerradoddi Ramana Reddy assumed charge as Associate Dean, NTR College of Veterinary Science, Gannavaram on 26.2.2026. Dr Reddy graduated from Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University, Hyderabad in the field of Veterinary Science during the year 1992. He obtained his Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition from Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University, Hyderabad in 1995 and Doctorate (Animal Nutrition) from Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad during the year 2000. During 31 years of professional career besides working as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon in A. P. State Animal Husbandry Department, Assistant, Associate and Professor in S. V. Veterinary University, Tirupati he also worked as Head, International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Hyderabad, Director, National Rural Livelihood Mission
