As per the Academic Council Resolution of SVVU, No. 338 dated 08.01.2013 and Board of Management Resolution No.1076 dated 31.01.2013, it was approved to create a Centre for Continuing Veterinary Education and Communication (CCVEC) to look after the Training Programmes, Publications and Information activities based at Administrative Office, SVVU, Tirupati under the control of Director of Extension with the following objectives.

Impart trainings to farmers of the state, para-vets and field veterinarians of state Animal Husbandry department, students and faculty of state agricultural universities; publish annual reports, newsletters and accreditation reports of the University;Publication of information materials and maintaining database at University level and maintain information centre at University level.
