The B.Tech (Dairy Technology) course from Government Arts and Science College, Kamareddy, Nizamabad Dt., A.P. was transferred to Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati with effect from 1-9-2007 and has been renamed as Dairy Technology Programme. The Government vide G.O.Ms.No. 63, AHDD & F(A.H. II) Dept., Dated : 21.12.2012 elevated the Dairy Technology Programme into full fledged College by establishing the Departments of Dairy Engineering, Dairy Technology, Dairy Microbiology, Dairy Chemistry and Dairy Business Management. The College is at present located in the Govt Degree College, Kamareddy. 60 acres of land was allotted for construction of new college and hostel buildings and for creating other infrastructural facilities. The construction work is in progress. The College is running a Dairy Plant of its own. |

Presently 86 students are pursuing studies in the four year B.Tech (Dairy
Technology) course at DTP, Kamareddy. Five Departments of Dairy Technology, Dairy
Microbiology, Dairy Chemistry, Dairy Engineering and Dairy Business Management
have been created.
